Student Resource Center
Prospective Students

TUI has adopted the following policy on transfer of credits:
The student notifies the educational advisor of his/her desire to transfer credits. The student provides:

A list of courses to be transferred and the TUI University degree requirements for which the courses are to be transferred. An official transcript from the transferring institution showing the name and address of the institution, the name of the student, the name and number of the course to be transferred, and the semester in which the course was completed. A catalog description of the course to be transferred. If requested by the Director of Advisement Center, course objectives.

After review of the above documentation the Director of Advisement Center will submit for the appropriate Dean’s approval. If the Dean approves the transfer of the course(s), the student will be notified of the decision in writing by an Educational Advisor. Once a decision on the transfer of the course(s) has been made, the college and the registrar will update the student’s record accordingly. In all cases, courses transferred must be from an accredited institution, and/or the credits by ACE approved. TUI will not accept courses from institutions that are not accredited (or in the case of international institutions, are not approved by the relevant Minister of Education).

TUI may accept credits earned by challenge examination and standardized tests from ACE, CLEP, DANTES, Excelsior, etc. or from other institutions provided those credits otherwise meet TUI transfer policies.

Transferring students may apply up to 60 "CAN" semester credits toward their TUI degree requirements.
