GOARMY Students
TUI University is a participant in the GO Army Portal registration. If you are active duty Army you must follow the procedures in the following sections.
Common Application
All active army soldiers who desire to complete a degree with TUI University must submit a Common Application through the Army portal.
Soldiers who are new to using Tuition Assistance (TA) may access the GO Army portal by following these steps:
- Connect to GOArmyED and select the "New Users" tab in the top right corner of the screen.
- Provide the general information requested in the application and click "Submit"
- Receive a username and password and complete the Prospective User Checklist displayed in your Prospective Student View before using TA.
- After receiving your username and password you may submit your common application.
Soldiers who already have a username and password may go directly to www.GOArmy.Ed.com and complete the common application.
How to Submit Common Application
- Connect to GOArmyED
- Go to my virtual Educational Center located on the main page
- Click on the link "Before you Enroll in the Course"
- Click on Complete/Update Common Application
- Complete all required steps as indicated in Common Application document
Important information regarding Common application:
- Please make sure to designate Touro University International (currently TUI University) as your HOME COLLEGE otherwise, we will be unable to see or receive your common application.
- PLEASE NOTE THAT ONLY YOUR EDUCATIONAL OFFICER (ESO) CAN CHOOSE TUI University AS YOUR HOME COLLEGE. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CHANGE IT YOURSELF.
- Students who wish to transfer from a Bachelor Program to a Master Program with TUI University will need to change their programs and resubmit their common application.
- It will take us 24 to 48 hours to receive your common application and upload it to the TUI University system.
Student Agreement (Degree Plan) - SOCAD
After submission of the common application to TUI University, we will create a student file for you. After receipt and review of transcripts, an educational advisor will create a degree plan for each individual student.
TUI University is obligated to upload each student SOCAD to the army portal prior to the Soldier competing six (6) semester credit hours or two consecutive sessions with TUI.
The school's Army and SOC Program Manager will upload your SOCAD to the army portal under eFile tab.
After Army and SOC Program Manager upload your SOCAD to the army portal you and your Educational Center will receive automatic notification that the SOCAD was uploaded to your file.
Your Educational Officer is obligated to review your SOCAD and post it on your army records confirming that it was reviewed.
If the deadline for posting SOCAD is missed or if the Educational Center fails to timely review the SOCAD, soldiers are placed on automatic hold and prevented from enrolling in further courses until the hold is lifted.
PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL BE UNABLE TO UPLOAD YOUR SOCAD TO THE ARMY PORTAL IF YOU FAIL TO SUBMIT YOUR COMMON APPLICATION TO TUI OR IF YOUR HOME COLLEGE IS NOT DESIGNATED AS "TUI UNIVERSITY".
Posting Grades
GRADES ARE AUTOMATICALLY UPDATED THROUGH THE PORTAL. Posting typically occurs within five (5) business days of official grade posting.
PLEASE NOTE THAT WE CANNOT UPLOAD GRADES TO THE ARMY PORTAL FOR WORK COMPLETED PRIOR TO THE SUMMER 2006 SESSION.
TUI staff will be happy to mail (postal or email) your grades for the sessions prior to Summer 2006 to your Educational Center for uploading to your army records.
